Practice Description
Tom started his legal career as a trial lawyer in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office in 1981. Four years later in 1985 Tom decided to concentrate his practice in the area of Civil Litigation. Over the years Tom has developed a civil practice where he regularly handles cases with verdict potential well in excess of seven figures. Tom has successfully tried hundreds of catastrophic cases involving toxic/mass torts, medical malpractice and general liability. He has developed a reputation as a skilled trial lawyer and has tried cases throughout the United States in jurisdictions as far west as California and as far south as Texas.
Tom oversees the defense of several manufacturers, contractors and distributors in mass tort asbestos litigation. In this capacity, he actively handles over 500 mass tort cases per year. His responsibilities include: lead trial responsibility, formulation of clients’ defense strategy and the negotiation of favorable settlements for clients before and during trial.
