Biography
Tim McGowan joined the firm in 1991, following seven years as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia. His practice is focused on product liability defense, with particular expertise as trial counsel in asbestos and other mass tort litigation.

Tim has obtained over one hundred defense verdicts as lead or sole trial counsel in courts throughout the country. He has tried cases in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Illinois, Ohio, Iowa, Kentucky, Texas, Indiana, Michigan, Maine, Massachusetts, California, Rhode Island, West Virginia and Wisconsin. His work in this area has included successful defense of punitive damage claims, catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters.

In addition to his active trial practice, Tim spends considerable time on witness development and general litigation strategy for a broad range of clients. He is a frequent lecturer at various national conferences and seminars relating to asbestos trial practice, medicine and state of the art.
