In Honor of Martin Luther King Day, the KJMSH&R Team Participated in Various Volunteer Service Opportunities
January 2021In honor of Martin Luther King Day, members of our team volunteered at Kids Against Hunger packing food for hungry children and families around the world, including in the Philadelphia area. We helped packed 11,484 meals! Also, team members contributed personal hygiene items to the 4th Annual Toiletry Drive, hosted by the Media Fellowship House Youth Coalition, Woman of Harmony, Inc. and No More Secrets MBS, Inc. The drive benefits women in the Philadelphia area and sheltered families at Pathway CFF, Wesley House and Mother’s Home. In addition, team members participated in The Giving Tree’s Socks for the Homeless Project. Socks are one of the most requested clothing item in the homeless community. Socks were wrapped with other items for distribution to those in need. Further, members of our team donated food and other items to the Chester County Food Bank, which is the central location for local agencies that serve the food insecure of Chester County.
